The Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City is delighted to welcome Mike Beal, Vice President, Secretary and Chief Operating Officer, Ball's Food Stores to the February 25 luncheon meeting at the American Royal.  

Mike has held a number of positions both within and outside of the grocery industry. Within the grocery industry, he has managed stores for Balls Food Stores, created and managed the data processing or “IT” department, served as programmer and system analyst, held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Balls Food Stores and now serves in his current position as Vice President, Secretary and Chief Operating Officer.

Mike has responsibility for all areas of Balls Food Stores retail operations for its Hen House, Price Chopper and Payless Discount Foods brands.  Immediately prior to his current tenure at Balls Food Stores, Mike earned a law degree and practiced in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters for nine years with a local law firm, and then a national law firm.
