The Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City and Kansas State University Olathe Campus invite you to join us on Thursday, October 13, for a luncheon meeting featuring Dr. Kenneth Burton, deputy director, National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF). Dr. Burton has been working for NBAF since 2018 and we look forward to an update on the facility.
NBAF will be a state-of-the-art biocontainment laboratory for the study of diseases that threaten both America’s animal agricultural industry and public health, and will strengthen our nation’s ability to conduct research, develop vaccines, diagnose emerging diseases, and train veterinarians.
NBAF is located adjacent to the Kansas State University campus but will be entirely operated by USDA. According to their website, the $1.25B project is almost complete. The facility's main laboratory construction and commissioning activities were initiated in May 2015 and substantial construction is expected later this year.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received by October 6 for refund. No refunds will be provided after October 6. Registrations are transferable.
