Kansas Congressman Jerry Moran
will be the featured speaker for the Agricultural Business Council’s August 28
meeting at the American Royal.
Congressman Moran’s topic will be
“Update on Policy Issues Facing American Agriculture.” It is a busy time in the Nation’s Capitol and
Mr. Moran has promised to share with us his insight on the status and outlook
for a number of important topics:
- Climate Change legislation
- Biofuels regulatory and
legislative issues
- Futures market regulatory and
legislative issues

Congressman Moran is well-known to
all connected to Kansas
agriculture. Mr. Moran, who lives in
Hays, Kansas,
is a senior member of the House Agriculture Committee and the Ranking Member of
the Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities and Risk Management. His
district, The Big First, includes 69 counties and covers 57,575 square
miles. Each year he conducts 69
town-hall meetings, one in each county of the First District.
